NOVEMBER 3-5 WOMEN’S WELLNESS WEEKEND
Learn about the role that plant-based eating can play for women in achieving optimal health. Take charge of your future by discovering healthier lifestyle habits to boost immunity, prevent disease, and lower your health risks.
An assortment of online Food for Life classes over the weekend will cover the impact a plant-based diet can have on hormone-related cancers (including breast cancer), menopause, mental health, diabetes, and weight management.
In each online class, you will:
- Have time to ask your questions about plant-based nutrition and cooking
- See a short video with medical experts from the Physicians Committee reviewing plant-based nutrition studies related to various health topics important to women
- Watch a cooking demonstration to build knowledge and skills
- Learn how to make three recipes you can enjoy at home
- Explore useful resources related to plant-based eating and your health
- Engage with other women and the instructor in a supportive discussion to build your knowledge of a healthy lifestyle
BONUS CONTENT: In addition to the classes themselves, the instructor will also offer some valuable bonus materials during the course of the weekend.

In contrast to an in-person retreat that takes up your entire weekend, by teaching these classes on Zoom at strategic times of day, you still have much of your weekend available for your regular activities. Tune in from wherever you are! Even if you cannot attend all the classes, you will receive the recipes and resources for each session and have access to the instructor, making this a valuable addition to your health practices. The classes will not be recorded.

Hi, I’m Deb Czech, founder of Planted Platter. I’ve enjoyed excellent health on a plant-based diet since 2012 and would like to share with you what I’ve learned about cooking at home, dining out, and optimizing vegan nutrition. I am a licensed Food For Life instructor and a vegan cooking coach based in Saratoga Springs, New York, serving the upstate Capital Region.
Food for Life is an award-winning nutrition education and cooking program that provides an innovative approach to diet-related chronic diseases. Designed by the physicians, nurses, and registered dietitians of the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, Food for Life promotes healthful eating based on the latest scientific research.
Online Classes Are Convenient
These programs are taught online via Zoom. Join from wherever you are! Use a tablet, laptop, or desktop computer for the best experience, though a mobile phone also works.
Receive Class Information via Email
All registered participants will be emailed the Zoom link, plus copies of handouts and recipes, a few hours in advance of each class.
Online registration ends 24 hours before each weekend program begins.
Ticket purchases are non-refundable.
In the rare situation where Planted Platter needs to cancel a class, all participants will be notified via email and will receive a refund for that class.
