CLASS TOPICS

Your Body in Balance: Healthy Thyroid examines the role of your thyroid gland in regulating your body’s use of energy and the impact of your diet on thyroid function. If it is not producing enough hormones (hypothyroidism), you will feel sluggish. If it is overproducing hormones (hyperthyroidism), you may feel revved up with a rapid pulse and other symptoms.

  • Learn how the autoimmune system creates antibodies that can attack the thyroid gland.
  • Discover why those who follow a plant-based diet are significantly less likely to get thyroid problems.
  • Review foods that can interfere with thyroid medications and how to handle them. 
  • Watch a cooking demonstration of recipes with health-promoting properties for your thyroid.

Hi, I’m Deb Czech, founder of Planted Platter. I’ve enjoyed excellent health on a plant-based diet since 2012 and would like to share with you what I’ve learned about cooking at home, dining out, and optimizing vegan nutrition. I am a licensed Food For Life instructor and a vegan cooking coach based in Saratoga Springs, New York, serving the upstate Capital Region.

CLASS DETAILS

Online Classes Are Convenient
Due to COVID-19, all classes are taught online via Zoom. Join from wherever you are! Use a tablet, laptop, or desktop computer for the best experience, though mobile phone also works.

Receive Class Information via Email
All registered participants will be emailed the Zoom link, plus copies of handouts and recipes, a few hours in advance of each class.

Registration Deadline
Online registration ends 12 hours before each class. If you want to sign up within 12 hours of the beginning of a class, please call 518.350.4080.

Transfers/Credits for Future Classes
If you are unable to attend a class, you may transfer your spot to someone or you can hold onto a credit for a future class or private coaching session

Refund Policy
Planted Platter will refund your class registration price less a $3 processing fee up until 7 days before the class. Within 7 days of the class, you can receive a transfer or credit to use in the future.

Cancellation Policy
In the rare situation where Planted Platter needs to cancel a class, all participants will be notified via email and will receive a full refund.
