FOOD FOR LIFE | Plant-Based Cooking & Nutrition Class

Fall 2020: Tuesday morning, October 8 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m.

Most women have heard the “1 in 8” statistic for breast cancer. It’s scary. But you don’t have to just worry about being the 1. Instead, grab onto the power of whole-food, plant-based nutrition!

Foods & Breast Cancer Survival explains why a plant-based diet can help women (and men!) reduce their breast cancer risk.

  • Review the science behind increased prevention and survival rates for those individuals diagnosed with breast cancer.
  • Learn about the impact of reduced fat intake, increased consumption of vegetables and fruits for greater fiber intake, and exercise.
  • Hear from Dr. Neal Barnard in a video highlighting various studies that support the impact of plant-based nutrition.
  • Discuss the “Let’s Beat Breast Cancer” project’s 4 easy steps to lowering your risk.
  • Watch a live cooking demonstration with healthful, plant-based recipes you can make at home.
