FOOD FOR LIFE | Online Plant-Based Cooking & Nutrition Class
Fall 2021: Wednesday evening, November 3 from 6:30 – 7:45 p.m. ET on Zoom
Improve your mental and physical health, maintain a healthy weight, and manage or eliminate chronic health conditions by adopting a plant-based diet.
Based on the book Your Body in Balance: The New Science of Food, Hormones, and Health by Neal Barnard, MD, FACC, this class addresses hormone-related conditions such as mood, anxiety, and depression. Dietary choices have a surprisingly powerful effect on hormones and the problems they cause. Evidence suggests that foods can help conquer moodiness and more serious mental health conditions such as anxiety and depression.
Foods and Mood will explain the nutritional science that makes a plant-based diet beneficial.
- See a short video with medical experts covering plant-based nutrition studies related to mental well-being
- Watch a cooking demonstration to build knowledge and skills of plant-based meal preparation
- Learn how to make three mood-boosting recipes you can enjoy at home
